Our Services

Assessments

Our assessment process is designed to build a clear understanding of each client’s strengths, needs, and goals in music therapy. This process includes:

  • Initial meeting – discussing background information, current concerns, and goals for music therapy.

  • Assessment sessions – observing and engaging in structured and informal musical experiences to gather meaningful insight.

  • Report & recommendations – providing a written summary of assessment findings, therapy goals, and suggested next steps.

Music Therapy

Music therapy sessions provide opportunities for growth, expression, and connection through music. Sessions are tailored to each individual’s goals and needs, using musical interaction to support communication, emotional wellbeing, motor skills, and overall development. Progress is reviewed regularly, and goals are adjusted as needed to ensure meaningful outcomes.

Neurologic Music Therapy® (NMT™)

NMT™ is a specialised, evidence-based approach that uses the neuroscience of music to support the development, rehabilitation, or maintenance of speech, cognition, and movement. By engaging the brain’s natural response to rhythm, melody, and timing, NMT™ techniques help strengthen neural pathways involved in communication, attention, memory, coordination, and motor control.

NMT™ is particularly effective for individuals with neurological conditions or injuries, including stroke, brain injury, Parkinson’s disease, cerebral palsy, and neurodevelopmental conditions. Through structured, goal-focused musical interventions, NMT™ promotes functional change and supports meaningful progress in everyday life.

Home Programmes

Home programmes provide tailored musical activities and strategies for clients and families to continue therapeutic support between sessions or at home. Each programme is designed around the individual’s goals and abilities, offering practical ways to use music for communication, engagement, and wellbeing in everyday routines.

Regular check-ins and updates ensure the programme remains effective and responsive to progress, helping to maintain continuity and support meaningful outcomes beyond the therapy room.
